Jesus Calms Every Storm

quiet… doubt… negative… feel a little heavy… my mind can’t help but to sink to a little “bummer” of a level…

But, I am so thankful that I have my God who I can pray to. Give thanks to. Who I can lean on. Who gives me faith. Who I can RELY on for peace and love….. just waiting this little storm out… in Matthew’s Gospel, Chapter 8, verses 23027, Jesus calms the storm.

23 Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with his disciples. 24 Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping.25 The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”

26 Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.

27 The disciples were amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked. “Even the winds and waves obey him!”

Happy is the person who learns to wait when they pray, because God’s time is the best time.

God provides

God provides. I was feeling overwhelmed an God gave me a project manager. I look to Him for my hope! My faith is in Him alone!

our spouse

I read last night that the reason so many women (and men, alike) grovel and get into or stay in relationship they shouldn’t is because they are trying to MAKE something work. Trying to fit into a mold or get their partners to fit into their ideal mold. God sends us the one we are supposed to be with!

Her words…. so perfectly put….

He chose your spouse for you before you were even born!! He hand-picked that person especially for you, and you especially for him! Is that not the coolest thing?? (I seriously tear up every time I think about that!) That is why I always teach my SS girls they don’t have to go out seeking a spouse. If they stay in His will, He will put that person RIGHT in your path. That’s how so many of us end up with ‘baggage’ and regrets….we try to force our own future rather than trusting God and His perfect timing.

WOW. Thank you, Lord God, for caring for us before we were even born and through a life on earth into eternal life… We owe so much and look to glorify YOU!

God supplies

I am so thankful to know and be reminded that my God would not ask me to step out on a ladder…. He would not call me to certain project unless He wanted me there. And if He wants me there, He will have the people and resources that are needed. Lord, thank you and help me remember that as I embark on new journeys with Sundog/Catchfire and with Joshers…..

God places us

more often than not, my devotional hits home when I read it in the morning. this morning it touched me….

Should I plant your feet on an insecure ladder?  Its supports may be out of your sight, hidden in my secret Place of the Most High, but if I have asked you to step on and up firmly — then surely have I secured your ladder.
